Turn your PrestaShop catalogue into a valid Google Shopping feed
Connect a PrestaShop Webservice API key, and AiFeedOptimiser builds a Google Merchant Centre feed from your products, live availability, 6-hour refresh and instant-sync webhook support.
No module install, no theme edits.
No credit card required.

Enable the PrestaShop Webservice API, create a key with products read access, paste the URL and key into AiFeedOptimiser, and get a public XML URL for Google Merchant Centre. Prices are emitted in GBP, availability is updated via webhooks, and missing required attributes block the feed before submission.
Set up in 5 steps
- 1
Enable the Webservice API in PrestaShop
Back office → Advanced Parameters → Webservice. Enable the webservice, then click 'Add new webservice key'. Name it 'AiFeedOptimiser', generate the key, and grant 'Products' read access.
- 2
Add your PrestaShop store in AiFeedOptimiser
Dashboard → Add store → PrestaShop. Paste the store URL and the API key. AiFeedOptimiser runs a test request to /api/products?limit=1 before saving the encrypted credentials.
- 3
Review the auto-mapped Google feed
AiFeedOptimiser maps title, description, price, image, availability, SKU, brand, EAN/UPC and condition to Google attributes. Override any attribute from product fields or static values.
- 4
Validate in the feed health dashboard
Check required-attribute coverage, EAN presence, title length, and image availability before submitting. Fix issues at the PrestaShop source rather than per-product inside Merchant Centre.
- 5
Submit the public XML URL to Merchant Centre
Copy /feeds/{storeId}/google-merchant.xml from the store detail page into Merchant Centre → Feeds → Add feed → Scheduled fetch, daily.

How PrestaShop fields map to Google attributes
AiFeedOptimiser auto-detects this mapping the moment you connect the store. Every row can be overridden per store from the Field Mapping tab.
| Google attribute | PrestaShop source |
|---|---|
| id | ps-{product.id} (or product.reference) |
| title | product.name[language] |
| description | product.description or product.description_short (HTML stripped) |
| link | {site}/{id}-{link_rewrite}.html |
| image_link | {site}/{id}-large_default/{link_rewrite}.jpg |
| price | product.price (GBP, incl. 20% VAT) |
| availability | active && available_for_order → in_stock / out_of_stock |
| brand | product.manufacturer_name |
| gtin | product.ean13 or product.upc |
| mpn | product.reference |
| condition | Static 'new' (override via rules) |
PrestaShop-specific pitfalls to avoid
Webservice not enabled
Go to Advanced Parameters → Webservice and tick 'Enable PrestaShop's webservice'. Without this, the API returns 404 or 401.
API key lacks product permissions
Edit the key and grant 'Products' GET access at minimum. Keys with no resource permissions cannot read the catalogue.
Prices excluding VAT in the feed
Configure the UK store to display prices inclusive of 20% VAT, so the feed and landing page match.
EAN/UPC fields left empty
Populate EAN13 or UPC for each product. Without it, Google treats items as missing GTIN and disapproves new-product listings.
Why UK PrestaShop merchants pick AiFeedOptimiser
10-minute setup
Enable the webservice, create a key, paste the URL and key, and get a feed URL. No module install, no theme edits.
Instant sync webhooks
PrestaShop product and stock events can invalidate the feed snapshot immediately, so Google always fetches fresh data.
Blocks bad feeds
Feeds missing required Google attributes return 422 with a human-readable reason - no silent disapprovals.
AI title rewrites
Optional Gemini-powered title and description optimisation with Google's front-loaded keyword pattern.
Frequently asked questions
- What PrestaShop credentials does AiFeedOptimiser need?
- AiFeedOptimiser needs your PrestaShop store URL and a Webservice API key. Generate the key in Back office → Advanced Parameters → Webservice → Add new webservice key. Grant read access to the 'products' resource.
- Does AiFeedOptimiser support PrestaShop combinations/variants?
- AiFeedOptimiser reads simple products from the products endpoint. For a variant-level feed, ensure each purchasable combination is exported as a product row, or use the CSV upload option with one row per variant.
- How is UK VAT handled?
- PrestaShop product prices are emitted as-is in GBP. Configure your UK store to display prices inclusive of 20% VAT, so the feed and landing page match Google Merchant Centre expectations.
- How fast do stock and price changes reach Google?
- Snapshots refresh every 6 hours automatically. Configure the webhook in the Instant Sync tab to invalidate the cache immediately when PrestaShop emits product or stock events.
- Can I filter products or override titles?
- Yes. Field mapping supports PrestaShop product fields and custom attributes, and the Rules engine can exclude, replace, or append across the whole catalogue based on categories, manufacturers, or availability.
